Welcome to Camborne Community Church! We are an Independent Evangelical Church based in Camborne, Cornwall and we have an open, warm, welcoming and friendly congregation covering all ages and from all backgrounds.

We continue to see people coming to join us in the church and learn more about the Lord Jesus through the Gospel (which means "good news"). Many have come to the point where they realise that Jesus is so much more than a historical figure and they now know him personally as their friend and Saviour. Therefore, we are in a period of growth as a church, which we put down to God’s grace alone.

This church exists to bring glory to God through living the Gospel and sharing the Gospel.

Church is...

So, what is “Church”? Although we do have a building on Fore Street in Camborne, this is not what makes us “Church”. What makes us “Church” is the fact that we are a group of people who love God and whose lives have been changed by the Lord Jesus. We love and support one another as God’s family and we come together to worship and praise him and listen to and respond to his Word, the Bible. Wherever and however that happens, this is the real meaning of Church.

Hope Camborne

hope.jpg
This Church has existed in Camborne for over 100 years. Right at the beginning of our history, two things were central to this church:

1. The preaching of the Gospel (Good News) and 2. Meeting the needs of the community. As a local church, we want to bring hope to the community of Camborne and we will do this by living out the Gospel and sharing the Gospel message.

Young@Heart

Feature Box Young@Heart.jpg
Young@Heart is a social group for older people and we meet roughly once a month to enjoy various activities: singing, entertainment, trips, quizzes and creative time. This is followed by a lovely buffet tea and a short message. It’s a great way to make lasting friendships

Messy Church

Feature Box Messy.jpg
At least 5 times a year we arrange a “Messy Church” during the school holidays. We follow a relevant theme (e.g. Valentine’s Day, Easter, light party and Christmas etc). The afternoon involves lots of fun, crafts, face painting, party games and of course, plenty of food.

Neighbourhood Chaplains

Directions & Parking

Our building is situated on historic Fore Street (previously known as Camborne Hill) and our postcode for satnav purposes is TR14 8AY.  We are located opposite Vyvyan Street and just up from the Conservative Club.

Unfortunately, we don’t have onsite parking.  There is on-street parking further down Fore Street and into Tehidy Road.  However, there is a pay-and-display car park (Trevithick Road Car Park) to the rear of the church building and you will find it at TR14 8LY.  Follow the car park to the furthest point and you will see a concrete block wall with a gate into the church property.

Alternatively, on Sundays there is free parking in a council-owned car park at Rosewarne (TR14 8BE).  It is just a 2-minute walk back to Camborne Community Church along Vyvyan Street.
