This is a social group for older people and we meet roughly once a month to enjoy singing along to some of the “golden oldies”, usually accompanied by local entertainers. We also have quizzes such as ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’, and creative activities on special occasions. This is followed by a lovely buffet tea and a short message. And it’s all free!

Throughout the year, coach trips are arranged to places like Padstow, Looe and various Garden Centres, with a trip in December to see the Christmas Lights.  Also in June or July each year, we arrange a Holiday Club which lasts for just over a week, with even more fun activities and trips!

It’s a great way to make lasting friendships – some people have been coming for years - and to help care for each other. Whatever the activity, there is fun, friendship and the sharing of Jesus’ love at every opportunity.

Directions & Parking

Our building is situated on historic Fore Street (previously known as Camborne Hill) and our postcode for satnav purposes is TR14 8AY.  We are located opposite Vyvyan Street and just up from the Conservative Club.

Unfortunately, we don’t have onsite parking.  There is on-street parking further down Fore Street and into Tehidy Road.  However, there is a pay-and-display car park (Trevithick Road Car Park) to the rear of the church building and you will find it at TR14 8LY.  Follow the car park to the furthest point and you will see a concrete block wall with a gate into the church property.

Alternatively, on Sundays there is free parking in a council-owned car park at Rosewarne (TR14 8BE).  It is just a 2-minute walk back to Camborne Community Church along Vyvyan Street.
