Initial plans have been drawn up by our architect to construct a new church on the site of our current chapel.

A pre-planning report was commissioned from Cornwall Council’s Planning Department.

Following their advice in the report, we commissioned a flood risk assessment. This showed that there is foul sewer running immediately behind our current building, which we would have to build over or divert.

South West Water was consulted and they said they would not grant permission to build over the sewer. Instead, we would have to divert the sewer, and this would be very expensive.

The leadership team is now considering alternative plans to create a new building which meets the needs of a growing congregation.
