Who's Who at CCC :: Camborne Community Church

Who's Who at CCC

This local church is led by a team of Elders, which is headed up by Tim Bodman, as an Elder and the Team Pastor.  Tim is supported by three Elders: Matthew Bailey (who is also a Trustee and the Church Treasurer) joined the Eldership in March 2023, and Dougie Cross and Dermot Hannon joined the team in July 2023.  This brings together a team with a wide variety of experience and giftings, but with one heart to see God transform our communities.  The Elders meet at least once every month to care for the pastoral needs of the congregation and plan the preaching, outreach and events of the church.  Tim is particularly thankful for the help and support of Rodney Orr (Pastor at Hope Community Church, St Ives), who has worked with the Elders from 2021 to 2023 as a "Consulting Elder", especially during the last 12 months whilst our new Elders tested their calling.

The Elders are supported by Deacons who help them with some of the practical and pastoral functions within our local church.  Our Deacons currently are Jacquie BodmanKirstina Bodman, and since July 2023, Pauline Fu, Rich Jones and Janet Welch have joined the team.

The Trustees are effectively the legal guardians of the church and its property, holding it on behalf of the congregation.  They are essentially the "checks and balances" ensuring that the church operates within its governing document and the law.  The Trustees are generally made up from the Elders and Deacons and other members of the congregation.  At the moment, this includes Matthew Bailey, and since July 2023 Tommy Fu and Denise Williams.  In August 2023, Dan Widdison was added as another Trustee.  The Trustees generally meet two or three times a year.

Directions & Parking

Our building is situated on historic Fore Street (previously known as Camborne Hill) and our postcode for satnav purposes is TR14 8AY.  We are located opposite Vyvyan Street and just up from the Conservative Club.

Unfortunately, we don’t have onsite parking.  There is on-street parking further down Fore Street and into Tehidy Road.  However, there is a pay-and-display car park (Trevithick Road Car Park) to the rear of the church building and you will find it at TR14 8LY.  Follow the car park to the furthest point and you will see a concrete block wall with a gate into the church property.

Alternatively, on Sundays there is free parking in a council-owned car park at Rosewarne (TR14 8BE).  It is just a 2-minute walk back to Camborne Community Church along Vyvyan Street.
